**In Loving Memory of Joe Coleman** Joe Coleman, 66, of Pana, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 11, 1959, in Pana, Joe was the son of the late Morris J. and Wilma (Overby) Coleman. He is survived by his ex-wife, Annette Riley, and their son, Zach (Katie) Coleman, along with his cherished grandchildren Clayton, Elcie, and Wyatt Coleman. Joe was a respected entrepreneur and owner of multiple businesses, including Joe Coleman & Son Environmental Services, Joe Coleman Salvage & Demolition, and Whiskey Bill’s Saloon and Liquor Emporium. Known for his generosity, Joe was a lifelong member of several organizations, including the Masonic Lodge, Eagles, Elks, Moose Lodge, and the Shriners, where he proudly served for 25 years. His involvement with these organizations reflected his strong sense of community, which he deeply valued. Joe's true pride and joy came from his family, particularly his son and grandchildren, as well as his vast collection of cars. He was especially proud of *The Corvette Shed*, a space he was always eager to share with the community for benefits and special events. Known affectionately as "Papa Joe" to many, he was a man who preferred to give without seeking recognition. His selflessness and caring nature left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Joe is survived by his son, grandchildren, special children Bridgett, Abby, Lizey, Chad, and Levi, and special grandchildren Cayden, Kynlie, Parker, Presley, Saylor, Lenny, Lexi, Addilyn, Easton, Liv, Izzy, and Addie. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda Paden of Windsor and Debra (Lamar) Embry of Toledo, Illinois, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Morrissey Coleman and Billy O. Coleman. A private family service will be held, followed by a Celebration of Life on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 5 p.m. at The Corvette Shed, Pana. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Joe’s honor to the Shriner's Hospital for Children. Donations may be made through McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, who is assisting the family. Joe will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness, generosity, and community spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
